The Kings County Repeater Association (in cooperation with Port Richmond CERT) will sponsor a class to help you pass the FCC Technician amateur radio exam. This is a hybrid class consisting of several weeks of assignments and assistance via E-Mail and two days of hands on, in person training, followed by the exam. Knowledge of Morse code is no longer required.

This class and the accompanying exam will be provided absolutely free of charge!

The E-Mail part of the course is set to start on Sunday, June 2nd, 2013. The in person part of the class (and exam) will be held on July 13th and 14th from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM right here on Staten Island. Exact address and room number will be provided as the dates approach.

While this class is open to the public, priority will be given to volunteers of Port Richmond CERT, and the following organizations: National Guard, Red Cross, and the New York Guard. The KCRA and Port Richmond CERT will in no way be liable if, for any reason, you are removed from this class to make room for an individual belonging to one of these organizations.
