It is confirmed this radio will do D-Star officially on 10 m, 6m, 2m, 70cm, and 23cm. Unofficially, it "may" support DV (but not full D-Star) on lower band SSB, after a simple modification. Unfortunately, this radio will not support the DD (128k data mode) of D-Star. Many people commented that at this price it should have a color screen, the reps seemed to agree. Manufacturing will not start until September, revisions are being considered.
