2010 Events

The Kings County Repeater Association is pleased to announce its participation in the next Ham Radio University, Sunday January 10th 2010.

HRU takes place at Briarcliffe College, 1055 Stewart Ave, Bethpage, NY 11714. The first forum starts at 9:00 AM.
The entrance is in the back of the building. The nearest LIRR station is "Bethpage", and the suggested donation is $3.00.

Ham radio university is "A day of education to share ideas, experiences, knowledge and fellowship among Amateur Radio operators"
HRU is planning 25 forums about different aspects of amateur radio.  It is not a flea market, no equipment is offered for sale.

The ARRL New York City / Long Island section convention also takes place during HRU.

The Keynote speaker this year is Steve Ford, WB8IMY Editor of QST Magazine.


Don't miss the antenna building workshop, where you get to build and keep a 1/4 wave ground plane antenna! ($10 fee for materials).
