Greetings to club members, friends of the KCRA, and all fellow HAMs!

The Club’s  Website software is being worked on.  It’s time for a design change. The D-Star repeater has been temporarily relocated, until we can get another suitable site, preferably with free internet access.

The clubs 2M repeater is fully operational.  There were some issues that were previously reported, and do not appear to be affecting communication.  If you notice a problem with it, please let us know.  There are a number of ‘jammers’, causing interference.  Please take note of time and location, and any other details.  Send all inquiries and issues to

This month’s meeting will be a hands-on lab!   We have some Velleman electronic kits that we will be building, the difficulty level is moderate. We have limited kits, so we ask that the ‘Experts’assist the beginners with their assembly.

We could use volunteers for events, please contact us at

Become Radioactive!   Come to the KCRA meetings!  Learn something participating in our Hands-On-Labs! The Kings County Repeater Association needs your support at our monthly meetings!  If you have any ideas that pertain to amateur radio, we would like to hear from you.

Put your radio gear to good use.  Join your local ARES group!  There are many interesting events that you can participate in all year long!!

I think most of us are members of the ARRL.  If you are not, I would like you to consider becoming a member of the ARRL. The ARRL has a lot to offer you in many ways, and they protect the amateur radio bands from commercial use!
